* Officials will be the central timekeepers for all games. They will keep track of the 4 second shot clock and the 25 second delay of game clock.
Each team must supply a volunteer scorekeeper for each game. Every scorekeeper will be responsible for keeping score for each team game and turning in a score sheet to the Edge Sports registration table at the end of each game. Failure to turn in a score sheet to the registration table will result in a forfeit of that game.
TIME
1. Two 20-minute halves (Continuous clock until the final 2 minutes of each game).
2. One timeout per half. (Exception: injuries, games will be stopped until injured player is removed from the field).
3. 5-minute half time.
4. 7 on 7 tournaments require each team be present at the official start time of each game. It is imperative to keep the tournament time schedule. Teams must be on site and ready to play when scheduled. Injury timeouts might reduce the amount of time between halves and/or between games in order to maintain the game schedule. Failure to arrive at the official start time will result in a forfeit.
APPAREL/EQUIPMENT
* Each team must supply their own game ball.
* Each team must supply their own white and dark uniforms for players participating in games. Visitors will have possession of the ball to start the game and ware white. Top team in bracket or first team listed will be visitor. The home team will have first possession in the second half and ware a dark color. Bottom team in bracket or second team listed will be home team. Teams must be on opposite side of the field.

7 on 7 GAME RULES
1. Each team starts on the 45 yard line
* No kicking/punting.
* Field is marked at 15 yard intervals with cones. (3 first downs without a penalty would result in a TD). (Marker cones will be placed at the 45-yard line, 30-yard line, 15-yard line, and goal line to identify first downs and scores).
* Offenses always move in the same direction
* NO PASSER MAY RUN WITH THE BALL. ALL PASSES MUST BE FORWARD. A pass caught behind the line must be forward.
* No blocking.
* Receiver/Ball carrier is legally down when touched below the neck with one or both hands. (Excessive force by shoving, pushing, or striking a blow will result in a 5-yard penalty. Player will be expelled if ruled unsportsmanlike & flagrant).
* Fumbles are dead balls at the spot with the last team retaining possession. A muffed snap is not a fumble/dead ball. The 4.0 second count remains in effect on snaps.
* Each team will have 25 seconds to snap the ball once it has been marked ready for play; delay of game penalty will be a 5-yard penalty.
* The QB is allowed 4.0 seconds to throw the ball. The Referee starts a stopwatch on the snap of the ball from center and stops the watch as soon as the QB releases the ball.
* If release is under 4.0 seconds, the play goes on.
* If the timekeeper sees that the clock has exceeded 4.0 seconds, he waits until the play is over (the play is not blown dead), then brings the ball back to the original line of scrimmage with loss of down.
Responsibility to avoid contact is with the defense. There will be NO chucking, or deliberate bumping or grabbing. These actions will result in a "tack on" penalty at the end of the play (5-yard penalty).
* Defensive Pass Interference will be a spot foul (1st down at the spot) (Pass interference in the endzone will result in the ball being placed on the 1-yard line).
* Offensive pass interference will result in a 5-yard penalty and loss of down.
1. Interceptions are dead balls with the defensive team receiving 3 points and possession of the ball.
2. After a touchdown or PAT the offensive team must immediately return the ball to the official who will spot the ball on the correct line of scrimmage. A 5-yard penalty will be assessed to any team delaying in returning the ball to the official.
* The offensive center is not an eligible receiver (teams must have a center). The center is responsible for establishing the succeeding spot as designated by the Referee.
* The center will be responsible for setting or re-positioning the Referee's bean bag at the line of scrimmage.
* No taunting or "trash talking." (5-yard penalty & ejection if flagrant or repeated).
* The offense must gain at least 15 yards in the first 3 or less plays or the defense takes over. Once the ball is spotted on or inside the 15-yard line, the offensive team now has four downs to score. (There is no kicking).
1. Any player who fights before, during, or after a game will be immediately ejected from the tournament.
2. Any dead ball foul by the offense will result in a turnover of the ball. Any dead ball foul by the defense will result in a half the distance to the goal penalty.
All coaches and players must stand within the designated player/coach box on each sideline. Failure to due so could result in a 5-yard penalty (If the penalty is to the offensive team and they have the ball on the 45-yard line, the play will result in a loss of down).
1. Any 5-yard penalty that is assessed on an offensive team on the 45-yard line will result in a loss of down.
OVERTIME RULES
After coin flip to determine first possession, teams will alternate 4 down series from the 15-yard line. A winner is determined when one team scores during its possession and the other does not. If a second overtime period is necessary, each team must then go for two points on the conversion attempts. No game may exceed two overtimes in pool play; the game will be recorded as a tie.
Scoring
